Jesús Perea (Madrid, 1971) is a spanish artist living and working in Madrid (Spain).
BA in Fine Arts in Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1994).
Interested in architecture and geometry, Jesús explores the visual limits of rationality and the unexpected,
generating emotional compositions based on a dialogue between rationality and chaos. His pieces, are an
abstraction of plain and pure colors, where the artist generates different visual planes that with their strong
contrast of colors, create an optical effect typical of the exponents of the Kinetic art movement. Jesús evokes in his oeuvre simplicity, architecture and geometry, creating a perfect compositional balance in his one of a kind artworks.
« My work is a continuous process of searching for beauty through geometry, the synthesis of form, architecture…
I feel my work very connected with music and I identify with the creative process of a composer who sometimes finds simple melodies and other complex harmonic structures always seeking to transmit emotion. »
Jesús Perea.
